The South Australian Metropolitan Fire Service (MFS) has more than 1,000 staff across 36 metropolitan and regional stations.

TASMANIAN FIRE SERVICE

The Tasmania Fire Service (TFS) employs around 285 career firefighters and usually recruits new firefighters once a year.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

·         Hold a current manual driver’s licence with no restrictions

·         Meet medical requirements.

NT FIRE AND RESCUE SERVICE

The Northern Territory Fire and Rescue Service (NTFRS) is made up of approximately 180 permanent staff working in the regional centres of Darwin, Alice Springs, Tennant Creek, Katherine, Nhulunbuy, Yulara and Jabiru.

There is a 12 month mandatory waiting period to re-sit the aptitude test if you fail the first time.


 


ACT FIRE & RESCUE

ACT Fire & Rescue is one of the most versatile Fire services in Australia, with all firefighters fully trained in firefighting, rescue and hazardous materials handling.

 

MIMIUM REQUIREMENTS:

·         Australian citizen or Permanent Resident

·         Full Australian Driver's Licence

·         First Aid Certificate

·         Applied for or hold an Australian Police Check.

ACT FIRFIGHTER SELECTION PROCESS
